Conroe Man, 73, Arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor and Weapons Charge on Gladstell Drive

CONROE, TX -- On September 23, 2025, a detective from Constable Ryan Gable’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) began an investigation into Steven Charles Ritchie, a 73-year-old man from Conroe, Texas, who was attempting to solicit a minor for sexual acts.

Detectives located Ritchie in the 1000 block of Gladstell Drive, Conroe, Texas. He had gone to this location with the intention of meeting and engaging in sexual contact with a minor. After his arrest, Ritchie was found to be carrying a loaded handgun. He now faces charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor, a third-degree felony, and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon, a Class A misdemeanor. Ritchie was booked into the Montgomery County Jail following his arrest.
