Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is pink with a purpose
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital employees broke out their pink attire today to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. While wearing the iconic pink is a colorful reminder of the fight thousands of patients are battling, it’s also about spreading breast cancer awareness and encouraging early detection.
“At Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, we are deeply committed to raising awareness about the importance of breast health and early detection,” said David Bernard, chief executive officer of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. “During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our leadership team proudly wears pink and stands with our staff, patients and community to honor those affected by breast cancer and to encourage everyone to take proactive steps in protecting their health.”
Mammograms are an important tool in women’s health care, designed to detect breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable. Did you know mammograms can find breast cancer up to two years before a lump is large enough to be felt?
Houston Methodist recommends using Breast Cancer Awareness Month as your reminder to put your health first and schedule a mammogram. You can schedule your mammogram at one of Houston Methodist’s 13 breast care locations online or call 346.356.PINK (7465).
