Get ready for The Woodlands Marathon this Saturday
THE WOODLANDS, TX – This weekend, The Woodlands Marathon returns for another year of spectacular racing. It’s a race coveted by many runners who come from all over the country to participate in this classic competition. The marathon kicks off early Saturday morning and is slated to last several hours into the afternoon, so make sure you check out the traffic advisory at www.woodlandsonline.com/blps/article.cfm?weblog=711&page=15355 so you aren’t delayed on the road.
The Woodlands Marathon is a 26.2-mile race ranked as the fastest course in Texas, placing it among the top 25 fastest races in the country and making it a great race for runners to prove themselves. Those top runners will see themselves qualify for the Boston Marathon, a goal many racers will head into the weekend with, as Boston is the ultimate race for marathon competitors.
Houston Methodist The Woodlands is once again set to partner with The Woodlands Marathon, marking a long streak of continued support within the community.
“We are proud to partner with The Woodlands Marathon for the 11th consecutive year and to once again host the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Half Marathon and Health and Fitness Expo,” said David Bernard, CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. “The Woodlands Marathon is an extraordinary event that champions health and wellness across our community and highlights the spirit of collaboration that makes The Woodlands so special. We know how hard the runners have trained to be here and how much our community has invested in creating an exceptional event. Members of our hospital team will participate as runners and volunteers, and our medical teams stand ready to help ensure a safe and successful race weekend.”
With the weather looking spectacular this Saturday, the racing conditions should be perfect. Whether you’re an experienced runner or trying your first full race, this Woodlands tradition is shaping up to be another amazing event. The Woodlands Marathon is home to some of the best racing in Texas, and the 2026 edition looks set to be just as excellent as the years before.
“I extend my sincere thanks to our community partners and volunteers for their dedication in bringing this event to life. To every runner taking part this weekend, we wish you a safe, strong and memorable run,” said Bernard.
