Two Teens Sustain Minor Injuries After Late-Night Crash in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Just before midnight on Thursday, The Woodlands Fire Department and Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD) were dispatched to a serious vehicle accident on Woodlands Parkway, just west of Branch Crossing.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found that the vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into a wooded area, trapping two occupants inside. Units from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were already on scene and had successfully extricated both teens from the vehicle before fire personnel arrived.
Thanks to the use of seatbelts, airbags, and a measure of good fortune, both teens sustained only minor injuries despite the severity of the crash.
The Woodlands Fire Department responded with Engine 105 and Truck 105 to assist at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate that excessive speed was a likely factor in the accident.
Authorities continue to remind drivers to obey posted speed limits and practice safe driving habits, especially late at night when roadway visibility and reaction times are reduced.
