Traffic Alert: Lane Closures Scheduled for Research Forest Drive – Expect Delays Thursday Morning

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner’s Office is advising motorists to expect delays on Thursday morning, from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., due to construction activity on eastbound Research Forest Drive at Greenbridge Drive.

Crews will be performing a concrete pour for a left-turn-lane extension, which will significantly impact traffic flow through the area.

Traffic Impacts:

• Eastbound traffic on Research Forest Drive will be reduced to one lane for most of the morning.
• Drivers should expect delays in all directions approaching the Research Forest Drive and Greenbridge Drive intersection.
• Alternate routes are strongly encouraged during this time.

This project is part of ongoing efforts by Precinct 3 to improve roadway efficiency and traffic safety. The left-turn-lane extension will nearly double the vehicle storage capacity in the eastbound left-turn lane at Greenbridge Drive and enhance traffic flow for both turning and through traffic.
