Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigates Shooting on Sawdust Road
SPRING, TX -- On Monday, November 10, 2025, at around 10:00 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a shooting call in the 2100 block of Sawdust Road. Deputies located one deceased male inside an apartment and a second injured male nearby. The injured male was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound and is in critical, but stable, condition.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the deceased male, who had succumbed to a single gunshot wound, was a former boyfriend of a female witness at the scene. The injured male is currently in a relationship with the same female. Investigators established that prior to the incident, the deceased male had been sending threatening text messages to the witness and her new boyfriend. The situation escalated when the deceased male broke into the female’s apartment armed with a pistol and a shotgun, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between him and the surviving male.
MCSO Major Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office arrived on scene and began their investigation. There is no threat to the public as this was an isolated incident among the parties involved.
This case will be referred to the Grand Jury once the investigation is complete. The identities of the involved will not be released at this time pending notification of the next of kin
