Which is a good thing, because there are some major holiday-themed events happening starting Thursday that wouldn’t feel too festive in 80-degree weather. But whether it’s warm or cool, bright or rainy, here are some events you can enjoy this week!

Kick off the holiday season in grand style as Market Street lights up the night with the unveiling of its stunning 70-foot Christmas tree – a dazzling spectacle of synchronized twinkling lights and festive holiday music. Join hundreds of guests as Central Park comes alive with over 25,000 multi-colored lights in a breathtaking performance that marks the start of the most magical time of the year. This dazzling display of flashing, multi-colored lights is synchronized to favorite holiday songs along with a festive spray of “snow” and confetti. The JoiLux band will entertain attendees with a mix of high energy, Top 40, and classic hits from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Market Street tenants will also be participating, adding surprise and delights throughout the evening. Special guests at this year’s celebration will include Glinda and Elphaba from “Wicked”, Elsa, Olaf, the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who, Martha May Whovier and Santa’s elves, in addition to balloon artists, face painters and other roaming performers.

You’re invited to join The Strong Firm P.C. at the exclusive VIP Preview Party for The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center to kick off the 2025-2026 Holiday Season. Guests will enjoy a family-friendly preview of the rink from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the night before it opens to the general public for the 2025 - 2026 season. The Lighting of the Doves festival is a long-standing tradition in The WoodIands that signifies the start of the holiday season in the community. Featuring traditional and international stage performances, vendor booths, children’s activities and strolling entertainment, the festival culminates with a special appearance by Santa Claus arriving by sleigh down The Woodlands Waterway and a dazzling fireworks display.

The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department invites you to Holiday on The Waterway. This all-ages, enchanting light trail transforms the heart of The Woodlands into a glowing winter wonderland. Visitors can stroll along the Waterway from Town Green Park to The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, enjoying twinkling light tunnels, oversized ornaments, illuminated snowflakes, and festive photo spots on both sides of the path.
