Hop Over to The Woodlands Children’s Museum to Celebrate Eggtivities
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The museum is excited to announce that its annual Eggtivities event will take place on Friday, April 3rd from 9:30am to 3:00pm and Saturday, April 4th, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This two-day celebration invites families to explore the museum’s educational exhibits while participating in a variety of "eggs-traordinary" art projects.
The event will feature a guest appearance by the Easter Bunny, offering families a photo opportunity to capture Springtime memories. Eggtivities guests can also enjoy the tradition of dyeing hard-boiled eggs and creating bunny boxes to ensure that each egg makes it home safely. In the museum’s Art Bar, children are invited to create custom bunny masks as a keepsake of this special day.
“Our Eggtivities celebration is a vibrant way to welcome Spring and all the energy and creativity it inspires,” stated Jennifer Kraus, the museum’s Interim Executive Director. “This event brings our community together in a way that highlights the beauty of the season while creating joyful, shared experiences for children.”
A special storytime will take place at 11:00am on Friday, with a reading of “How to Catch the Easter Bunny” by Adam Wallace. In this adventurous story, find out how the Easter Bunny has a knack for staying hidden with his supersonic ears and lucky rabbit’s feet! At 1:00pm on Friday, enjoy the story “Bear Finds Eggs” by Karma Wilson. From the beloved “Bear” series, Bear and his friends hunt for Mama Meadowlark’s missing eggs, painting all the eggs they find with bright colors so they don’t get lost again.
On Saturday, April 4th at 11:00am, children can enjoy “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick!” by Lucille Colandro. In another version of the classic story about the old lady with an enormous appetite, this time she swallows a chick, some straw, and other Easter delights…until she comes upon the Easter Bunny!
Eggtivities is $6 per child, in addition to general admission, for both members and non-members. Tickets may be purchased online at www.woodlandschildrensmuseum.org
