It’s our first full week of spring, and the weather will celebrate it by being bright and warm. Even though spring break is over, you can still dive into some decidedly springlike events this week; here’s a sampling to get you started!

Purse Bingo at the Sawyer Park Icehouse, benefiting Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, is lots of fun! Designer purses. Big prizes. Cold drinks. Great cause. This ‘Golden GIrls’-themed event starts at 6:00 p.m.

Fee includes egg hunt and a visit from the Bunny. A special prize will be awarded for finding the golden egg. Due to the growing popularity of these programs, early registration is highly encouraged. Join your friends at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for a playful day of music, storytelling and audience participation as a classic children’s tale comes to life with The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. Based on the beloved book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, this lively musical adaptation is presented by Main Street Theater and directed by Chad Fontenot. The production invites audiences to step into the jury box and decide the fate of the Big, Bad Wolf in Piggsylvania’s Trial of the Century. The performance will be held in the Pavilion Event Center. Two showtimes will be offered, giving families multiple opportunities to experience the fun! Doors will open at 10:00 a.m. for the 10:30 a.m. morning performance and at 6:00 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. evening performance. Each performance will run approximately 45 minutes. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-show crafts and activities before each show begins.
