Fall Sweep 2025
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township completed another successful Fall Sweep, the community’s annual self-guided litter cleanup challenge held throughout the month of October. Volunteers from across The Woodlands dedicated their time to collecting litter from pathways, roadsides and parks in eight villages and more than 25 locations, helping maintain the natural beauty that defines the community.
This year, 26 groups, totaling 113 volunteers, participated in the effort. Together, they logged nearly 150 volunteer hours, removed 352 gallons of litter and cleaned more than 30 miles of pathway. The Township is pleased to recognize the following groups for collecting the greatest volume of litter in their category:
- Individual: The Ellison Family
- Group Size 2–10: Vogt Engineering, LLC
- Group Size 11–20: TWHS Science NHS
- Group Size 20+: YMSL – Klein
Residents are encouraged to help keep The Woodlands beautiful year-round by organizing their own cleanup with friends, family or coworkers at a Township location of their choice. The Environmental Services Department provides free loaner supplies, including trash grabbers, bags and gloves. They can even guide you in a litter audit.
