Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hosts Holiday NICU Reunion
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Over the weekend, Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital transformed into a festive holiday wonderland to welcome back families whose little ones once received care in the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Since opening in 2017, the NICU team has supported more than 1,500 families during some of life’s most delicate moments — and this special event celebrated those journeys together.
Former NICU families returned to reconnect with the nurses and physicians who cared for their babies, while enjoying holiday-themed activities such as cookie decorating, ornament crafting, balloon art, and a snowy play pit. Children were delighted by visits from Santa and The Grinch, creating cherished holiday memories for the whole family.
“This reunion is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible resilience of our families and the lifelong bonds formed in the NICU,” said [NICU Manager Name], NICU Manager at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
The annual NICU family reunion highlights Houston Methodist’s ongoing commitment to family-centered care and the lasting relationships built between staff and patients.
