Lone Star College-Montgomery Celebrates its Medical Radiologic Technology Class of 2025 Graduates and 100% Pass Rate on National Credentialing Exam
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Lone Star College-Montgomery proudly commemorates the graduation of the Class of 2025 from its Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) Program. The ceremony highlighted the remarkable achievements of these aspiring healthcare professionals who have completed rigorous academic coursework and clinical training, preparing them to serve in vital roles within the medical imaging field.
More than 900 applicants competed for a limited number of program seats this year, underscoring the strong reputation and exceptional quality of the MRT Program. The level of interest reflects the program’s continued commitment to excellence in classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and clinical preparation.
This year’s graduating class of 22 students have demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and professionalism. Their achievements have been made possible through the unwavering support of their families, friends, faculty, and clinical partners throughout their journey. The annual pinning ceremony recognized graduates’ readiness to serve patients with compassion, technical expertise, and commitment to lifelong learning.
The ceremony included several traditional elements: reflections by Clinical Coordinator and Professor Rowdy Volmer, introductions by Program Director Dr. Francis Ozor, and a welcome speech from Dr. Mischelle Hopper, Dean of the Life Sciences and Health Occupations Division, who represented the President of LSC-Montgomery, Dr. De’ Reese Reid-Hart. The event also featured a presentation of class memories, a graduation speech by Dr. Ozor, the official presentation of graduates, awards for outstanding students, and closing remarks.
Dr. Mischelle Hopper, along with the MRT program faculty, staff, and clinical preceptors, expressed pride in the graduates’ accomplishments and acknowledged the collaborative effort required to prepare students for success in the field.
Following the completion of the AAS degree program, the 2025 graduates took the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national credentialing examination in Radiography. All 22 graduates successfully completed the examination and achieved 100% first attempt pass rate.
Program Highlights:
• The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
• Graduates are well-equipped to pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam.
•The curriculum combines comprehensive classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experiences at affiliated hospitals and clinics to enable the student to acquire knowledge, develop medical imaging skills, professional values, and the desire for lifelong learning.
The 2025 graduates represent a diverse and talented group committed to advancing healthcare. The ceremony exemplifies the collective effort of students, faculty, and supporters in fostering a nurturing learning environment.
Dr. Francis Ozor, LSC-Montgomery MRT Program Director, affirms that "Academic success is the product of the willingness to succeed, and the time, energy, and resources invested in the academic pursuit." He adds, "This belief has guided many of his students to achieve great success in the pursuit of their academic and professional dreams."
