MAGNOLIA, TX -- High-quality academic and workforce programs are now available closer to home for Magnolia residents, as Lone Star College System leadership and community stakeholders celebrated the opening of LSC-Magnolia Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 13.

“The opening of the Lone Star College-Magnolia Center signifies the college system’s strong commitment to ensuring that anyone who wants to pursue higher education can do so close to home,” said Mike Sullivan, LSCS board chair. “This new facility will serve as a state-of-the-art educational hub where individuals can chart their own path toward a bright future.”

The opening of LSC-Magnolia Center, a satellite location for LSC-Tomball, completes the college system’s 2014 bond package, fulfilling a commitment to taxpayers to expand educational opportunities to the Magnolia community. As of the start of the spring 2026 semester on Jan. 20, the 50,000-square-foot campus is now offering comprehensive services to more than 100 enrolled students.

“The Lone Star College-Magnolia Center will be a beacon of opportunity for southwest Montgomery County and beyond,” said Lee Ann Nutt, Ed.D., LSC-Tomball president. “We are proud to offer the Magnolia community local access to high-quality higher education.”

Designed by HarrisonKornberg Architects and built by Tellepsen, the new facility was developed in partnership with local industry leaders to ensure students gain skills in alignment with regional workforce needs. Particularly in-demand workforce programs housed at this center include Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning (HVAC) & Refrigeration degrees and certifications.

The Lone Star College-Magnolia Center is located at 1280 Escondido Drive. Students will enjoy modern classrooms and labs, a library, a testing center, and other student services on-site. Learn more and register for spring 2026 classes at LoneStar.edu/MagnoliaCenter.
