THE WOODLANDS, TX -- This week’s Woodlands Online Player of the Week is none other than Legacy Prep/TWHS sophomore lacrosse sensation, Paige Hill.

Paige attends Legacy Prep but plays lacrosse for The Woodlands High School. League rules specify that you have to play for the geographically closest school to where you live if your high school does not offer lacrosse.

Paige is one of those athletes who doesn’t need a push to get going. She started playing lacrosse in 5th grade, and it has been “all systems go” ever since. Some kids need time to feel overly comfortable with their surroundings before they really let loose. Paige’s first day, she let loose before she even stepped foot on the field.

Yes, Paige is a go-getter when it comes to athletics. That’s all well and good, but how is she off the field? How does she treat people? Is she a giver or a taker?

Paige can be described as a person filled with humility. She is all about looking out for those around her, making sure all are comfortable in their surroundings. She is confident in herself, which leaves a lot of time and room for other people.

When Paige entered middle school, her faith in God began to really take shape. Ever since that time, faith has been a huge presence in her life.

Faith has assisted Paige in being incredibly dedicated and disciplined in all areas of her life. She is an extremely loyal friend and family member and pours all of her heart into anyone close to her and will do anything to help them.

Let’s learn even more about Paige Hill…

1) How long have you been playing lacrosse? How did you become interested in lacrosse? What other sports did you play growing up?
I have been playing lacrosse since 5th grade, so five years now. I never knew it was a thing until my neighbor, who played for Klein, encouraged me to come to one of their open practices. I quickly caught on and actually wanted to quit for the first few months, but after I scored my first goal, I was like, okay, this lacrosse thing isn’t so bad. I played a lot of golf and tennis growing up, but kind of experimented in a lot of other sports too.

2) Describe the 2026 TWHS lacrosse team and why you enjoy playing for the Highlanders.

Our 2026 TWHS lacrosse team is very fun, driven, and encouraging. We are going to do some great things this season—I already know it. I love playing for the Highlanders because of the amazing coaching staff and great group of girls. Everyone is very encouraging and supportive; we have a very strong team dynamic.

3) Do you like attending Legacy Prep?

I love it. I like how it is Christ-centered, and my schedule there allows so much time for lacrosse.

4) What colleges are you looking into attending? Do you know what your field of study will be?

For me, I’m not crossing anything off the list, but my dream college would have to be the University of Michigan or the University of South Florida. As for my field of study, I am really interested in criminology and criminal law.

5) What do you hope to be doing after you graduate from college?

My interests after college are kind of split, if I’m being honest. Part of me wants to attend law school with the goal of becoming a lawyer, while another part of me wants to pursue a career as a federal agent. I’m not really sure yet, but I know God has a purpose for me, so I just have to keep trusting His plans for me and following the path He has laid out for me.

6) What do you enjoy doing away from school and lacrosse?

I love to read, hang out with my friends and family, work out, compete with my brother, and cook.

7) Who is your role model for lacrosse?

My role model for lacrosse is Dana Dobbie. She has so much passion for the sport, and it is visible through everything she does. The few times I have been fortunate enough to work with her at lacrosse camps have inspired me to be as driven, creative, and as visibly in love with the sport of lacrosse as she is. Another role model of mine is Reagan Digby at Duke University. I admire her faith and how she implements it into everything, especially lacrosse.

8) Describe how supportive your family is in everything you do in your life.

My family is definitely my biggest cheerleader. Even if I were to drop lacrosse tomorrow, after all the years and time and money spent, they would have my back. I appreciate everything they do to support me. They are honestly the best.

9) If you were given a million dollars and had to give it to one charity, which one would you choose and why?

I would donate it to Feeding America or a MAHA organization because my grandfather is very involved in finding solutions for underserved communities and is a strong advocate for food being medicine, and I highly agree with his points. So I think I would donate there. Or TPUSA because I love Charlie Kirk.

10) Three things that people don’t know about you.

  1. I love true crime and murder mysteries.

  2. My favorite food is peanut butter/banana/honey.

  3. I have the same birthday as Queen Elizabeth I, and we are actually related too.

11) What is your favorite song on your phone right now? Do you have a favorite group?

My favorite song right now is probably “Stay” by Ty Myers. Or it could be “My Man on Willpower” by Sabrina Carpenter, but honestly my music taste changes daily, haha. I don’t really have a favorite group, but The Chicks have a lot of songs I like.

12) Your favorite movie of all time.

This is so hard, but probably White Chicks.

13) If you were sentenced to death but you were allowed to go on one last date, who would the lucky guy be?

I would go on a date with prime Ralph Macchio.

14) When is the last time you danced? Are you any good?

The last time I actually danced was probably at hoco for Legacy. I used to take lessons in middle school, so I think I’m pretty decent at dancing.

15) What are your thoughts on sports specialization at a young age?

I think at a young age you should play as many different sports as you want/can. I didn’t really hone in on lacrosse 100% until the end of my freshman year/start of my sophomore year. I think building your athleticism and learning different movements via different sports is super helpful in developing yourself as an athlete. Part of my footwork from lacrosse was taken from many tennis drills and practices, and my grandpa always says that my tap dancing days helped my footwork tremendously. Especially at a young age, it would be easy to get burned out on a sport that you put all your time into, so playing many different ones will help you find what you truly love.

TWHS head girls lacrosse coach Riley Halloran shared her thoughts on Paige…

“Paige Hill is the kind of player every coach wants on the field. She’s relentless, scrappy, and impacts the game everywhere—on the draw, on the ride, on defense, and in transition. She plays with an edge and a motor that doesn’t shut off, and her effort consistently raises the level of everyone around her.

She’s one of the most relentless, all-over-the-field players I’ve coached, and she brings an intensity and fight that’s impossible to teach. Excited to watch her dominate this season!”

Paige describes her strong faith…

“My faith shapes everything in my life. I want to live a life devoted to God and I want my actions to reflect his love, so naturally that will shape how I do things. This is a big process for me, and it’s hard to stay consistent sometimes in my walk with Christ, but my biggest goal is to build a close relationship with Christ and bring others to Him. For example, through lacrosse, I want to be as good as I can because God has blessed me with the opportunities and abilities to play lacrosse so I need to glorify him through my sport. Ephesians 5:15-16…”

Look for Paige and her team to be quite successful this year. Last year, The Woodlands made it to the state championship game but lost to Texas lacrosse power Hockaday School.

They hope to take it one step further this year.

If they do, expect Paige to be dancing the night away with prime Ralph Macchio!
