Conroe Man Arrested for Sending Explicit Image to Montgomery County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On February 5, 2026, the Montgomery County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, received an unsolicited email from an unknown individual that contained an explicit image depicting a male sexual organ. Court staff immediately reported the incident to Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigation Division.

On February 6, 2026, detectives initiated an investigation into the origin of the email. Through investigative techniques and digital tracing, detectives identified the sender as Eric Sean Umbaugh from Conroe, Texas. Detectives located and interviewed Umbaugh, during which he admitted to sending the explicit image to the Justice of the Peace Court.

Based on the investigation and admission, Umbaugh was taken into custody without incident and charged with Unlawful Disclosure or Promotion of Intimate Visual Material, a State Jail Felony under Texas law. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail for booking and processing.
The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office takes incidents involving harassment and the unlawful distribution of explicit material seriously, particularly when directed at public servants and government offices. The agency remains committed to protecting county employees and maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
