Woodlands Firefighters Quickly Contain Kitchen Fire in Cochrans Crossing

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- At 2:21 a.m. Friday, The Woodlands Fire Department (TWFD) responded to a reported structure fire on Tender Violet in the Village of Cochrans Crossing.

Truck 104 arrived on scene first and confirmed a fire in the kitchen of a single-family home. Firefighters initiated a fast attack and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

All four residents were safely alerted by working smoke alarms and evacuated prior to the arrival of fire crews. The fire is believed to have originated in the dishwasher motor assembly, and damage was limited to the dishwasher and surrounding cabinetry.

TWFD was assisted on scene by Montgomery County ESD No. 10/Magnolia Fire Department, Needham Fire & Rescue/Montgomery County ESD #4, and the Montgomery County Hospital District.

No injuries were reported, and the swift response prevented further property damage.
