Descend for a Difference: Over The Edge with Camp For All Returns April 11
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Camp For All, a nationally recognized leader in special needs camping for all ages, invites the community to make a difference at its annual Over The Edge fundraiser on Saturday, April 11, 2026. In a one-of-a-kind urban adventure, participants will rappel down The Woodlands® Towers at The Waterway, turning a single bold moment into support for barrier-free Camp For All, where thousands of children and adults with challenging illnesses, disabilities, or special needs discover life-changing experiences year-round.
“Over The Edge is one of the most visible and exhilarating ways Camp For All expresses its values: courage, possibility, and transformation,” said Pat Prior Sorrells, President and CEO of Camp For All. “Every time someone steps off that rooftop, they are saying ‘yes’ to a child or adult who deserves to experience Camp without barriers. The funds raised directly benefit campers, helping them find hope, grow in self-confidence, and realize they are not alone.”
The event thrives thanks to community-minded sponsors who share the Camp For All mission and the life-changing power of barrier-free experiences. Their leadership and generosity make Over The Edge possible and help ensure that children and adults with challenges or special needs can experience joy, adventure, and independence.

“The enthusiasm from our sponsors and rappelers is nothing short of incredible,” said Brian Frazier, Chief Operating Officer of Camp For All. “Our sponsors bring vision and leadership, and our participants bring heart and boldness. Together, they create an event that not only turns heads but truly transforms lives. We are continually inspired by the way this community shows up for our campers.”
This year, Howard Hughes marks its seventh year of volunteering and sixth year of hosting Over The Edge with Camp For All at The Woodlands Towers at The Waterway. What began as a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact has grown into a powerful annual tradition rooted in purpose, partnership, and possibility. Year after year, Howard Hughes demonstrates its support for the Camp For All mission, transforming a prominent office tower into a platform for courage and compassion.
“We’re honored to host Over The Edge for the sixth year at our corporate headquarters,” said Brandon Hinman, Director of Development, Houston Region, for Howard Hughes and a longtime Camp For All committee volunteer. “This event is especially meaningful to me because I see firsthand how Camp For All positively impacts families I care about. It’s an incredible reminder of what a community can accomplish when it comes together for a greater cause.”
