SANTA FE, TX -- Texas country artist Sandee June is celebrating another major milestone as her latest single, “Southern King,” has officially reached No. 1 on the Texas Regional Radio Report, marking back-to-back chart-topping hits for the rising Texas star following her previous No. 1 single, “Hurricane.”

Written by June alongside Seth Candan, Mike Lais and Derek Shampine, and produced by June and Ed Bradley, “Southern King” blends her signature country sound with a groove that has resonated strongly with Texas country radio and fans across the state.
“Having ‘Southern King’ go No. 1 is such an incredible feeling,” said June. “Thank you to every radio station, DJ and fan who has supported this song. It’s because of you that this music keeps growing, and I’m so grateful to share these moments with all of you.”
The song celebrates the charm, grit and free spirit of southern boys while continuing to showcase the heartfelt storytelling and soulful style that have helped propel June into the spotlight as one of Texas country’s fastest-rising voices.
On the heels of her No. 1 single, June will take the stage for a live performance at the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards on Monday, March 23, at Texas Live! in Arlington, where she is nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year.
“Being nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year is such an honor, especially knowing the nomination came from the fans,” said June. “Their support means everything to me. Getting the chance to perform at the Texas Regional Radio Awards and share that moment with everyone there is something I’m really looking forward to.”
“Southern King” is available on all major streaming platforms and continues to play on Texas Country radio stations statewide.
