Painting With a Twist offers a new ‘Pop In & DIY’ experience
THE WOODLANDS, TX – One of the few places in The Woodlands to offer the chance to create practical art in a family-friendly environment, Painting With a Twist, has added a whole new experience to its repertoire: ‘Pop In & DIY: A Self-Led DIY Experience.’
With this program, artists of all ages and talent levels can dive into an array of DIY projects and create something uniquely theirs using PWAT’s detailed instructions and inspiration guides. To participate, simply visit the studio on Sawdust Road during ‘Pop-In’ hours – or make a reservation in advance – and pick your project by choosing any art piece you’d like to create. The staff at Painting With a Twist will provide all the materials and instructions you need to do it yourself.
Featured DIY projects include:
- Custom-scented candle – Create a cozy atmosphere with this DIY candle project, ideal for gifting or adding charm to your space. These all-natural soy wax candles have a 40 hour burn life and dozens of scent options.
- Wooden state cutout – This versatile 12-inch wood cutout shape is perfect for crafting unique local wall art or seasonal decorations. Customize yours using stencils or one of their step-by-step painting guides.
- Custom-scented candle with color – Just like the custom-scented candle experience, but with the added joy of creating special colors. You can make a solid color candle or try their new marbling technique.
- Pop In and Paint – A special canvas-based experience; please note that their daily reservation cutoff time for the painting experience is 3:00 p.m. Space can fill quickly during school breaks and holidays, so booking ahead is the best way to guarantee a seat.
For the primary DIY project experiences, walk-in hours are 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; organizers ask you to arrive at least 120 minutes prior to end time to ensure you have enough time to complete your project. Alternatively, reserving a specific time can let them know the day and time you want to come in so they can have your supplies ready and a table reserved.
Painting With a Twist also maintains its daily themed painting sessions, where you can come in solo or with a date or family and create a piece on canvas under careful guidance. The shop is also BYOB so adults can bring their own wine to supplement the experience.
