What's Included in a Twist at Home Kit?
Inside your Twist at Home kit, you'll have everything you need to create your very own masterpiece including:
• 16x20 canvas
• Paintbrushes
• Paint
• Step-by-step written instructions
• Video instructions when applicable

What additional supplies will I need?
In addition to the supplies you find in your kit, you'll also want to have:
• Apron (or old clothes!)
• Table cover
• Cup for water
• Paper towels

My Personal Takeaway
I had the opportunity to Twist at Home and found it to be so much fun! I was able to paint outside in the nice weather, which was a huge advantage to me. Seeing that it was my first time Twisting, I was a bit nervous to start. However, that feeling of unease immediately dissipated when I hit play on the instructional video.

The video opened with a sweet smiling employee named Jillian who led me through a breathing exercise to help transition my mind from the energy of a busy day into a more grounded headspace. She showed me how to mix paint colors to achieve the perfect tone, which brush to use and when to clean it, as well as which strokes to make and how to fill them in. Her constant reassurance that I couldn’t mess things up gave me the confidence to genuinely go for it, as if I was some visionary creating an original piece on a whim.

After the first layer was complete, the painting needed about ten to fifteen minutes to dry before I could continue. Jillian led me through a mini session of chair yoga, which included stretches to help relax the body and mind.

I was happy with the way my painting turned out, but more than anything I was appreciative of the experience. It gave me a moment to be truly present. In these current times, that feeling is priceless.
