The Woodlands Area Man Known as “The Candyman” Arrested After Alleged Online Solicitation of Minor Investigation
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On May 8, 2026, Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted an investigation in the 9400 block of Creek Vine Drive after receiving a telephone harassment complaint involving an unknown suspect sending explicit text messages to a juvenile female. The case was referred to Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division for follow-up.
Detectives immediately launched an investigation into the suspected online solicitation and identified the suspect as an adult male. During the course of the investigation, detectives established communication with the suspect, who continued sending sexually explicit messages to individuals he believed to be the underage females he had previously been communicating with.
The suspect later arranged to meet the person he believed to be the juvenile female at a local elementary school for the purpose of engaging in sexual acts. Undercover units established surveillance in the area and, upon the suspect’s arrival, he was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect was identified as 65 -year-old Brian Blaine of The Woodlands, TX. Further investigation revealed that he was known throughout the neighborhood by local children as “The Candyman." He was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, a 2nd Degree Felony. His bond was set at $200,000.00 out of the 184th District Court.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims connected to Brian Blaine. Parents are encouraged to speak with their children and contact Constable Mark Herman’s Office or their local law enforcement agency if they believe their child may have had contact with him or if they obtain information of concern.
