MCSO Arrests Former Nanny for Indecency with a Child

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 21-year-old Evan Moore in connection with an ongoing child abuse investigation and is urging the public to come forward with additional information.

On June 17, 2026, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU), arrested Evan Joseph Moore for Indecency with a Child.
Investigators initiated the case after receiving allegations involving Moore, who had been employed in the Montgomery County area for several years as a babysitter and nanny. During the course of the investigation, one child under the age of 14 disclosed sexual abuse by Moore.

Moore was taken into custody without incident and is currently charged with Indecency with a Child. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

Due to Moore’s prior employment as a caregiver for children in the community, investigators believe there may be additional victims. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may have been a victim of Evan Moore to come forward.
