2026 The Woodlands Township Board of Directors Slate of Candidates Announced
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Today, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors incumbents Linda Nelson and Craig Eissler, joined by candidates Lee Wilson and Lisa Gilmore, announced they are running as a unified slate committed to preserving the exceptional quality of life that has made The Woodlands one of the nation's premier master-planned communities.
Incumbent Director and Board Secretary Linda Nelson said she is excited to continue serving alongside a talented team dedicated to preserving The Woodlands' exceptional quality of life.
"I am honored to be running again alongside my colleague Craig and welcome Lisa and Lee to our team," Nelson said. "Together, I know we will continue to deliver exceptional leadership for our community."
The group has already gained the support of local individuals and groups like Preserve The Woodlands Candidate Committee.
"I am proud of the incumbents on this team, who have shown strong leadership for our community over the last few years, and I am encouraged by the two new members who will join them in the effort to lead our special Township into the future,” said Danny Signorelli, from the PTWCC. "Voters can expect the full support of the PTW organization behind this group, and we intend on putting together a big win in November."
Linda Nelson
Linda Nelson is a current Township Director, the Board Secretary and longtime business leader who has lived, raised a family and worked in The Woodlands for more than 30 years. She has served in numerous leadership roles, including past Chairman of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, and remains actively involved with organizations supporting economic development, tourism, major community events, and local charitable initiatives.
Craig Eissler
Craig Eissler is a current Township Director, the Board Vice-Chairman, a lifelong resident of The Woodlands, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, and graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Craig combines his financial expertise with a strong commitment to community service through Rotary, Leadership Montgomery County, and other local organizations.
Lee Wilson
Lee Wilson is a lifelong Woodlands-area resident, board-certified tax attorney, and small business advocate who has built his career protecting taxpayers and fighting government overreach. Active in numerous civic and economic development organizations, Lee is committed to fiscal responsibility, public safety, and preserving the exceptional quality of life that makes The Woodlands unique.
Lisa Gilmore
Lisa Gilmore grew up in The Woodlands and is a proud graduate of The Woodlands High School. Her career has spanned local, county, and federal government, where she has built extensive experience in public policy and community engagement. Lisa and her husband, Kenneth, are raising their three children in The Woodlands and are committed to preserving the community's exceptional quality of life for future generations.
Four seats on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be on the ballot this November. Incumbents Linda Nelson and Craig Eissler are seeking reelection, while Chairman Brad Bailey is running for the Texas House of Representatives and Director Richard Franks is not seeking another term.
