Whether on land or water, The Woodlands Township has interactive fun for kids

THE WOODLANDS, TX – With summer break in full swing, The Woodlands has gone the extra mile – and lap – to bring some fun to the young ones while they take advantage of some of the Township amenities available to them.

Extolling the virtues of outdoor fun, the Township has offered two different projects for the kids to enjoy with the rest of their families.

Trolley Summer Adventure Book
All aboard for a summer full of fun, discovery and adventure! The Town Center Trolleys allow riders to be chauffeured to popular destinations like Hughes Landing, Market Street, The Pavilion, and The Woodlands Mall, all for free.

Throughout June, July and August, The Woodlands Town Center Trolley Summer Adventure Book invites residents and visitors of all ages to hop on the trolley, explore The Woodlands, and complete exciting activities. From nature scavenger hunts and transportation challenges to reading adventures and kindness activities, each completed activity earns the participants a special sticker to collect along the way. Adventure Books are available from Town Center Trolley drivers, making it easy to join the fun.

Each ADA-compliant trolley is free to ride and runs every Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. Note that there is no service on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

High Seas Adventure Program
The water-based program the Township has put together for the kiddos is one that take place at all of The Woodlands Township pools with the High Seas Adventure Challenge. Getting started is easy, just register online, then set sail on your adventure solo or with a team.

Players just have to visit the Township pools in any order and ask the front desk for the High Seas Adventure clue. Then the fun continues as they solve the riddle, snap a photo at the location, and use the QR code provided with the clue to upload their photo and track their progress.

The more pools you visit, the greater the reward. Adventurers who complete seven pool locations will receive a free High Seas Adventure t-shirt. Those who solve the riddle at all 14 pools will earn an exclusive t-shirt and be entered for a chance to win a 2027 season pool pass. Regular daily pool admission fees apply; admission is free for season pass holders.
