Interfaith of The Woodlands Launches Annual Kits 4 Kids School Supply Drive to Support Local Students in Need

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Interfaith of The Woodlands is excited to launch its annual Kits 4 Kids School Supplies Assistance Program, a community-wide effort dedicated to helping local students begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Each year, Interfaith provides school supplies to more than 2,000 Conroe ISD students whose families are experiencing financial hardship across South Montgomery County. Through the generosity of local businesses, churches, organizations, schools, and community members, Interfaith helps ensure children have the essential tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

For many families facing crisis, purchasing school supplies can create an added financial burden during an already difficult season. Kits 4 Kids helps ease that stress while giving students the confidence that comes from walking into school prepared and ready on the first day.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to start the school year feeling prepared and supported,” said Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Through our school supply assistance programs, our community comes together each year to help local children succeed while reminding families that they are not alone during challenging times.”

Interfaith is currently collecting new school supplies and backpacks to support students in need. Most requested items include fun themed backpacks, markers, crayons, notebooks, binders, glue sticks, pocket folders, pencils, headphones, and other classroom essentials.

Community members, local businesses, and organizations are encouraged to join together in support of local students by hosting school supply and backpack drives for children and families in need. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference in the life of a child and helps students start the school year with confidence, dignity, and hope.
