Fort Bend Sheriff's Office Arrests Armed Suspect After Richmond Five Below Standoff
RICHMOND, TX -- On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at approximately 12:17 a.m., the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center received a call reporting a disturbance in the 10300 block of W. Grand Parkway S. in Richmond.
Preliminary information indicates that a current employee of the Five Below store, later identified as Ramsey Jones, 33, allegedly attempted to strike multiple individuals with a vehicle in the parking lot. Jones then entered the business and barricaded himself inside while armed.
Following negotiations with law enforcement, Jones surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
Jones was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail on five counts of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant and two outstanding warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
