Missing Texas teen last seen leaving home on camera
BAYTOWN, TX -- It has been over two months since 16-year-old Sasha Meuchel went missing, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is asking for the public’s help to bring her home.
Sasha was last seen on May 18, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m. leaving her grandmother’s home in Baytown, Texas. Surveillance footage shows Sasha walking out the front door with a handful of belongings before exiting the frame.
Sasha’s mother, Latasha Markham, told NCMEC that there has been no communication from Sasha since her disappearance and she has never gone missing before. Latasha is concerned for her safety and urges the public to please come forward with any information regarding her whereabouts.
Latasha hopes this message will reach her daughter:
Sasha, if you happen to see this, please know that I love you more than words can express. You are not in trouble. We just want to know that you are safe and bring you home. No matter what has happened, you are loved, and I want to help you.
To anyone reading this, please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, and I would appreciate everyone sharing this information, so it reaches as many people as possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sasha is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair. Authorities believe that she may be in the Houston, Texas, area.
