CONROE, TX -- Conroe Independent School District (CISD) continues to monitor Tropical Storm Edouard and its potential impact on the area. In response to the latest weather information, the district is adjusting today’s afternoon transportation schedule to help ensure buses can complete their routes safely and on time.

Adjusted Transportation Schedule for Tuesday, September 1

  • High school: Bus transportation will begin 30 minutes earlier than the normal afternoon schedule.
  • Elementary school: Bus transportation will begin 15 minutes earlier than the normal afternoon schedule.
  • Junior high and intermediate schools: Buses will operate on their normal afternoon schedule.
  • Car rider lines: High school and elementary school car rider lines will also begin at the adjusted dismissal times.

According to CISD, the schedule adjustments are intended to account for additional traffic that may result from weather conditions and help buses serving junior high and intermediate campuses remain on schedule.

At this time, Conroe ISD plans to operate schools as scheduled on Wednesday, September 2. The district will continue to closely monitor Tropical Storm Edouard and coordinate throughout the day with local meteorologists and emergency management officials.

Families are encouraged to monitor official Conroe ISD communications for any additional updates regarding school operations or transportation schedules.
