About Us

Dr. Sabih Effendi grew up in The Woodlands and received his bachelor's degree in biological science from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He returned to Texas to receive his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas before completing his neurological surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he received the Kinjiro Iwata Award for Excellence and Leadership. Dr. Effendi has received fellowship training in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery and cortical/subcortical brain mapping.

Board certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Effendi has extensive clinical expertise in cerebrovascular, minimally invasive cranial, skull base, spinal and peripheral nerve surgery. Understanding that surgical treatments involving the brain and spine can be complex for patients, Dr. Effendi takes the time to educate and support his patients in their treatment options while making their satisfaction his top priority as he strives to provide excellent outcomes.

A frequent presenter at medical conferences, Dr. Effendi also has published many articles in his specialty. He is a fellow of the Council of State Neurological Societies and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons and American Academy of Neurology. He represents Montgomery County as a delegate to the Texas Medical Association and serves as a faculty member at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Effendi is actively involved in local charities and participates in medical missions overseas.
