Love Fosters Hope is proud to announce the 14th Annual Run for Hope, taking place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 7:00 AM along the scenic Woodlands Waterway. This inspiring family-friendly event raises critical funds to transform the lives of children and teens in foster care who have suffered abuse, abandonment, and neglect.
Participants of all ages are invited to join the run and take part in a morning filled with purpose, fun, and community spirit. Event options include:
-
1-Mile Fun Run/Walk – $15 for children, $40 for ages 13+
-
Timed 5K Run – $40
-
Timed 10K Run – $50
Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female winners in both the 5K and 10K races, as well as top finishers by age group. The 1-mile event is perfect for families or those looking for a more relaxed pace. Children’s entertainment and breakfast will be available, making this a fun and meaningful outing for all.
Funds raised will directly support Love Fosters Hope’s mission to bring hope, healing, and a future to children and teens in foster care.
According to national statistics:
-
A child is abused every four minutes in the U.S.
-
59% of foster youth are incarcerated as juveniles by age 18
-
3 in 10 homeless adults were once in foster care
-
Fewer than 2% of former foster youth earn a college degree

“These children have suffered unimaginable trauma, but together, our community can rewrite their stories,” said a representative of Love Fosters Hope. “Run for Hope is more than a race—it’s a lifeline.”
