    Summary: The Nursery Caregiver provides childcare for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years old. Demonstrates The Woodlands Methodist Church’s (TWMC) mission to reach people for Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and help those in need.

    Essential Functions:

    • Greet and communicate with parents about child’s needs and activities.
    • Engage with children during playtime.
    • Prepare daily activities, reading, art and music.

    • Reports to: Nursery Co-Directors
    • Position Type: Part -time, non – exempt, 4 to 20 hours per week.
    • Schedule: Sunday from 8:00am – 2:30pm. As is typical for ministry, this position requires a flexible schedule.
    • Compensation: Dependent on experience.
    • Benefits: Not eligible for benefits.
    • Support children’s emotional and social development.
    • Change diapers and assist with toilet training.
    • Supervise safe play.
    • Sanitize toys and room daily.

    • Childcare experience preferred.
    • Love working with preschool-aged children.
    • Must be a strong team player.
    • Be at least 18 years old.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but must be able to communicate effectively in English.

    Physical Demands:

    • This position requires sitting, standing for long periods of time, lifting, reaching, and crawling.
    • Be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
