What the Route Driver is responsible for:

Drive a company provided vehicle (after training is complete, the vehicle may be driven home)
Complete a dedicated route based on a schedule, visiting sites to collect samples (water and wastewater samples)
Ensure samples are packaged appropriately and delivered to the lab (lab located in Conroe, TX) by 3:00 P.M. each day
Fill out necessary paperwork pertaining to collection and recordkeeping requirements
Prepare materials and truck for the next day of work

A successful Route Driver at NWDLS will:

Possess a TWIC card (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment for routes requiring it)
Possess a Class D Water Operator’s license (or willingness to obtain one within 6 months of employment)
Be comfortable driving routes throughout the greater Houston area (including occasional trips to Dallas, Katy, New Braunfels, Huntsville, Corpus Christi, and other areas of Texas state)
Must have clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
Experienced or comfortable driving a pickup truck
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and provide exemplary customer service
Strong route planning skills and/or experience utilizing GPS/maps

$15.00 - $17.00 an hour
