Job Description

Core responsibility:
Patient / Office care: make patients welcomed, taking medical history, review medication, taking vitals, communication with provider, arrange for Test/image/referral along with instruction to pts, getting authorization for tests and treatments, returning back all unanswered question to pt, communicate with other providers, or institute to arrange patients’ test, fill out all necessary patients paper work, follow with all test results, follow policy and procedures, manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and maintain QA

Day to Day activity:
Running the CBC machine controls, adding lab orders and tests needed for incoming pts, follow through with all pending tests, check pts in , Do vitals, review system, review medication and all required MIPS, get needed authorization , send prescription and any referral needed, arrange follow up , check all pts messages and respond back , look up the next day schedule, keep all room clean with needed supplies. Review faxes and respond appropriately, including arrange for new pt apt,

Who the Job Reports to: Senior MA and office manager, there will be daily Huddle, weekly meeting , quarterly meeting and evaluation
Requirement, Medical Terminology. Understand the EMR Concepts, preferably one year experience and preferably Certified medical assistant, skills of doing vital signs, give SQ injections,

Skills Required

1-caring person who will give time to listen to patients concern,
2-good communicator that will reflect patient or office issue with team and try to resolve,
3- Someone who cares about the practice and feels is hers (make check list , reads the fax ,,)
4-Thorough but also fast, able to prioritize the work since our job can be busy at different times,
5-be creative and comes with idea that can help patients and office outcome,
6-is good with feedback and wants to improve and learn
7- Bring smile and acceptance and good spirit with positivity to practice and not the home problem
8- Wants to learn to be perfect, has perfectionism attitude, takes notes and follows through but looks at the overall picture ( more important to do the 80% top and not get stocked at the 20% left )
9- Is not shy to bring the problems up and comes with solutions
10- Has multitasking skill (putting smile on face) answer the phone and type on computer ,
11- Takes the job serious, like she owns it , no phone has been unanswered, no fax has been unattended , no auth has been missed
12- Follows through ( if getting auth , place reminders for herself , get it done and inform pt and places note in pt chart )
13- Puts reminders for herself and follows the check list
14- Takes notes all along during the day to make sure no task has been fall the rack,
15-is flexible, if needed in other department pitches in and shows help attitude ( team worker )
16- puts patients and work first, if busy and short in staff stays at desk and skips lunch or get a short one
17-Understand the importance of policy need to be followed to maintain our certifications
