THE ROLE:
When you join the teaching team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
-Assisting Classroom Teacher(s) with the supervision of students in all instructional settings;
-Assisting Classroom Teacher(s) with approved behavior management techniques by demonstrating, modeling, and positively reinforcing desired behaviors;
-Maintaining data as identified by teacher(s)
-Assisting in tailoring lessons to meet an individual student’s or small group’s needs;
-Supporting the classroom teacher(s) with lesson plans by practicing and reinforcing learning concepts;
-Assisting students in performing activities and academic skills;
-Assisting with administrative activities and work assignments;
-Assisting Classroom Teacher(s) with implementation of accommodations and/or modifications;
-Adapting classroom activities, assignments, and/or materials to support and reinforce classroom objectives;
-Monitoring students during transition times throughout the school day, inside and outside of the classroom
-Maintain emotional control under stress
-Work successfully in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
-Juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once
-Ability to work well on a team and individually
-Dedication to learn, grow, and develop as a professional
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Excellent written communication skills
-Must meet licensing requirements, which includes fingerprinting and an extensive background check
-Additional duties as assigned

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS
-High School Diploma; minimum of an associate’s degree is preferred
-At least 2 years of relevant work experience
-Ability to physically assist students with self-help, academic, behavioral skills and playtime including sitting on the floor, bending, crawling, and other physical activities.

-Ability to multi-task and be flexible and kind
