Recreation Aide - 2026 Summer Season

Summary of Duties: Provides customer service to patrons and clerical support by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Scheduled work locations include both the Riva Row and Lakes Edge Boat House(s) and Swans at the Mall.
• Always works under supervision.
• Welcome and assist visitors or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
• Perform cash handling duties, make change, and input fees and issues receipts. Record amount received and prepare report of transactions using computer software.
• Monitor users of Boat House facilities and participants in recreation programs to ensure orderly conduct.
• Assist patrons in and out of the watercraft.
• Provide information on programs, activities and events in person or by phone.
• Utilize company software to enroll customers in programs.
• Perform facility opening and closing procedures, such as ensuring the facility is secure, and set-up and break-down for programs, equipment is picked-up etc.
• Assist with recreation programs, activities, special projects and events as required.
• Must meet and maintain the requirements of the driver safety policy.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than high school education.
• Experience: No related experience or training required.
• Scheduling and Physical Demands:
-Must be available to work a schedule that will include morning, afternoon and evening hours, weekends and holidays.
-Position requires heavy lifting or moving of the kayaks of up to 100 pounds.
-Must be able to work the following holiday weekends: Memorial Day weekend, Independence Day, and Labor Day weekend.
• Age Requirement: Must be 16 years of age or older by hire date.
• Safety-Sensitive: This position is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random drug testing.
