The Woodlands, TX -- Being healthy means dealing with the changes in your body and your mind. One local company, InkJet, Inc., recognizes the importance of improving one's health and quality of life. Recently, IJI launched a program to help their employees do more, feel better and live longer.

'The Biggest Loser' program was launched by management to encourage employees to live a healthier life. The program had 42 employees participate from May 1- August 6, with seven teams made up of six players encouraging one another throughout the contest.

Along with healthier eating habits, the teams focused on increasing their exercise routines. To encourage employees to exercise, IJI developed a walking trail that winds through the piney woods surrounding the corporate headquarters. Employees would often spend their lunch and breaks walking the trail with team members.

A total of 351 pounds were lost by the IJI team members who participated in the Biggest Loser program. The program was a success and has inspired many to live a healthier life with more energy and more happiness. The individual winner of the Biggest Loser 2007 was Paul Hernandez in the Packaging and Production department. Hernandez had an overall loss of 28.26% and contributes his success to eating in moderation and exercise. The Transformer team of Paul Hernandez, Herbert Melton, Karen Rye, Ivonne Schneider, Mohammed Siddiqui and Brad Gerhart took first place in the team competition losing a total of 109 pounds.

The top five runner-up individual losers were: Cynthia Vega (25.64% overall loss), Brad Gerhart (22.48% overall loss), Josephine Aguilar (19.61% overall loss), Jodie Hart (19.34% overall loss) and Brian Schmidt (15.88% overall loss). Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who participated in IJI's Biggest Loser 2007 program.
