THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- This year’s winners of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau’s “Explorer Getaway” package drawings have been announced.

According to Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, the lucky winners are Anna Borbon of Houston, Marleen Uzick of Missouri City, Nick Churchill of League City, Oliver Eaglin of Houston, and Kathy Masters of Bellaire.

As part of a co-op advertising promotional program, the five winners were randomly drawn among 163 inquiry entrants. The packages awarded prizes that included gift cards to Market Street – The Woodlands, Cheesecake Factory, Chocolata Cocoa Bar, Chick-fil-A, and The Woodlands Waterway Taxi rides, as well as hotel accommodations at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, Hilton Garden Inn, Marriott Courtyard Inn, Drury Inn & Suites – The Woodlands, and Fairfield Inn & Suites.

Nick Churchill explained, “My wife and I had just gotten married so we used the prizes for our honeymoon. We absolutely loved it! It was so nice and provided a great weekend getaway for us.”

Marleen Uzick added, “We were so surprised to hear that we won and were really thrilled about the package. We can’t wait to come to The Woodlands again and spend some time to relax and explore all that the area has to offer.”

As a component of The Woodlands CVB’s marketing program, Wolda said the Explorer Getaway package successfully helps build awareness and promote excitement about The Woodlands area as a premier destination to shop, dine, play and stay.
