Free Admission for 2009 Tournament

WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Administaff Small Business Classic golf tournament will return to The Woodlands Country Club's Tournament Course October 12-18. This year the public will be able to enjoy free grounds admission, parking and shuttle service.

“We wanted to do something special for the golf fans in the Houston area this year,” said Executive Director Bryan Naugle. “In our first five years, the people in this area have supported us so much. With the support of Administaff, UnitedHealthcare, Hewlett Packard and our other corporate partners we are able to offer this opportunity to see some of the game’s greatest players. The game of golf and the Champions Tour is all about giving back. During these challenging economic times we are glad we can do our part.”

The Administaff Small Business Classic, part of the Champions Tour schedule, will feature the world’s premier golfers age 50 and older and a purse of $1.7 million. In 2008, the tournament received the prestigious Presidents Award as the best event on the Champions Tour. Past tournament champions include: Larry Nelson, Jay Haas, Mark McNulty and two-time winner Bernhard Langer.
