THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- For college students looking to cut back on their spending, here is a list of stores and attractions where either the flash of a student I.D. or a university email can help save the big bucks.

1. Amazon.com Student—Join with a university email address and get free two-day shipping, unlimited instant streaming of movies and television shows, and special promotions just for students. (Note: Amazon Student is free for the first six months, then changes to a 50% reduction off Amazon Prime rate).

2. Houston Ballet—At select performances, college students can arrive 90 minutes prior to show time and buy tickets for $10.00 based upon availability. Check http://www.houstonballet.org to see if rush tickets are available.

3. Museum of Fine Arts Houston—On-site tickets for general admission can be purchased for $6 with a valid college I.D.

4. European Wax Center—A Student Wax Pass allows students to buy three full-price wax services and receive a fourth service free.

5. Sam’s Club—With a college I.D. and email address, students can buy a yearlong membership for $40.00, and will also receive a $15.00 gift card for their first purchase.

6. J. Crew—15% discount on all items.

7. Madewell—15% discount on full price and markdown items.

8. Ann Taylor—20% discount on all full priced items.

9. Banana Republic—15% discount on all full priced items.

10. LOFT—15% discount on all full priced items.
