THE WOODLANDS, Texas—In recent years, the trend of eliminating all processed items and chemicals in one’s diet has become extremely popular. However, many don’t think to extend this all-natural practice into their beauty line as well. Based in The Woodlands, Enfusia products offer people the chance to cut out chemicals through their all-natural beauty line that is vegan, gluten free, and does not use any synthetics.

Founder of Enfusia, Debra Myers is an esthetician and obtained her cosmetology license when she was 18 years old. Myers always knew she was going to be in the cosmetics business, and previously worked for big brand-name makeup companies. After leaving the cosmetics industry in Los Angeles, she began working out of her home, mixing different essential oils and salts for fun and as gifts. She realized the popularity of her products and, with the help of her husband, opened the business named Enfusia, a twist on the word “infusion". Enfusia has been open for eight years, and has been growing at a rate of about 20-30 percent per year.

Enfusia carries a wide array of beauty products including bath bombs, lotions, bath salts, bubble bath, and fragrances in scents such as White Fig, Pomegranate Berry, Sandalwood, Wild Orchid, Clementine, Cocomo, and more. One of the most popular bath salts is the Muscle Soak, of which local Woodlands runners and the Houston Texans cheerleaders are huge fans. Enfusia also offers a line of baby skincare products, called Cocoon Baby. Myers developed the line after trying to find a way to soothe and heal her niece’s bleeding eczema. After working on a few different recipes, Myers developed the Cocoon Baby Gentle Body and Hair Wash, a glucose-based formula with scents of lavender, lemongrass, and chamomile. Myers herself uses it as a face wash because it is soothing but does not strip the skin.

“[Cocoon Baby] has a cult following. [It is a] top selling baby line at Whole Foods,” Myers said. Enfusia also offers products for men, including body wash, aftershave balm, and Gun Powder, a talc-free powder made from organic aloe, essential oils, cornstarch, and kaolin clay to help prevent body odors and stay dry and fresh.

So what makes Enfusia stand out from other natural beauty products? The freshness of the ingredients and the process of how they are made. Everything at Enfusia is made by hand in small batches. While there are machines that could do the job, it would break down the essential oils and scent integrity. Myers also tries to use as many local products as possible. For instance, the dried roses from the Hubbell and Hudson flower department are donated to Enfusia for use in bath bombs and bath salts.

“You can’t beat our freshness—nobody can,” said Myers.

Some locations where Enfusia products are sold are local specialty stores, Hubbell and Hudson, Central Market, HEB, Whole Foods, select Krogers, Woodlands Wellness, and Boss Chiropractic. For more information on Enfusia, visit the link below.
