UPDATE as of September 27: Tyler's has updated their opening dates from this weekend to a soft opening on October 10 and grand opening on October 19!

Representing the great state of Texas is what Tyler's does best.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Stepping into Tyler's-Austin has always been a source of nostalgia for Austinites as yet another small business to cling to in an effort to "Keep Austin Weird." With Tyler's expansion beyond Austin's limits to Dallas, the small, local business mentality stayed strong. Once The Woodlands location is open, our community can look forward to another company with a philanthropic outlook and a history of giving back.

Tyler's not only sells great apparel, but also gets involved in nationwide and local causes. They rally behind TOMS mission and host local events for charity, like their annual Dam That Cancer paddle. With the Riva Row Center just around the corner from Tyler's new location at The Woodlands Mall, (in the old freestanding Sears building), the community can speculate that similar sports related fundraisers will be hosted locally by Tyler's.

Tyler's 17,000-square-foot building on the outer ring of The Woodlands Mall will boast collegiate gear, Texas gear, shoes, backpacks, skateboards, longboards, and other athletic gear. Over 100 employees will work at the new location, improving our already booming local economy and jobs market.

Priding themselves on customer service and constantly evolving with trends, Tyler's bases their business on customer feedback. Working for such a forward-thinking company, team members at Tyler's seem easy going, but knowledgeable. "If you have ever wanted a job in retail, Tyler's is a great place to work," said a team member from Austin's Guadalupe location.

Set to open in September, look for Tyler's to be a trendy new spot for athletes, young people, and anyone with a sense of humor and love for life.
