THE WOODLANDS, Texas – While the other six 14-5A schools opened district play on Friday, the College Park High School boys’ soccer team drew the initial bye and instead settled for a 2-0 victory over Magnolia in a non-district match at home.
Rodrigo Perez and Nick Burns scored goals for the Cavaliers, now 5-1-1 on the season. Nick Sussman added an assist while Mike Wick recorded the shutout in goal.
The Cavaliers open District 14-5A play at Oak Ridge in a 7 p.m. Friday match. College Park hosts Conroe at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7.
