THE WOODLANDS, TX –- College Park and Conroe matched up on an inclement weather day as part of a double header at Woodforest Stadium. With temperatures in the lower 50s and just getting colder, there was nothing more ice cold than the refs. Beyond the apparent, terrible calls and no calls, it seemed like they had blinders on during the whole game. They aren’t typically a huge factor in these kinds of games but this time was blatantly obvious, to this reporter, that they wanted the game to continue, without interruption resulting, in an earlier finish so they could go home.

Many calls were missed including three to four handballs near the goal. Many shoves and trips were missed and the game continued as the players paused to see if something was going to happen. Conroe was at the better end of the calls, getting away with a couple of no calls. College Park however missed a couple of crucial calls inside the box and close to the goal. This could have changed the outcome of the game but it is hard to predict how officiating would affect the game.

College Park takes the loss against Conroe in penalty kicks. Do officials affect the game? Do they intentionally throw games in order to leave early?
