THE WOODLANDS, Texas--Are you a high school and college students looking for a summer job? If so, look no further than at the South Montgomery County YMCA.

The South Montgomery County YMCA will hold a job fair on Saturday, March 15th, 9am – Noon at the Shadowbend YMCA, 6145 Shadowbend Place in The Woodlands.

The event is held during Spring Break to give college students a chance to apply for positions available while they are home for the week. Most positions are seasonal, and will take place between June and August. Interviews will occur during the job fair.

This is a good opportunity for students to gain workforce experience while helping children develop intellectually and physically and to learn how to contribute to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

“If you love working with kids and you are interested in strengthening your community, you’ll love working at the YMCA,” said Roxanne Davis, YMCA Community Liaison. “YMCA staff members get to make a difference in the lives of children by helping them grow and develop their skills. They also gain some valuable work experience at the beginning of their career.”

Job opportunities include lifeguards, swim instructors, day camp counselors, youth sports, learn and play leaders and more. Minimum age to apply is 16 – 18 years of age depending on position.

What to bring to the interview:

• A resume (if you have one)

• A filled out application, which can be obtained in the lobby on day of job fair
