YMCA announces this Saturday's annual Kids Triathlon will have an earlier starting time

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The 20th Annual YMCA Kids Triathlon - YMCA Kids Triathlon Summer Race Series, presented by Texas Children's Hospital of The Woodlands, has announced that the start time for this Saturday's race has been moved a half-hour from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

'Due to the excessive heat wave and recommendation by our Presenting Sponsor – Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands – we have made the decision to start the race 30 minutes earlier. Thank you for your support,' said event organizer Roxanne Davis, community liaison at the YMCA.

For this weekend's event, children ages 6 – 12 will experience the fun and excitement of triathlon. It’s a morning of friendly competition and physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of fitness. The event is designed for all levels. Previous triathlon experience is not required.
