THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- After a hard day of working on the ranch, how ‘bout you mosey on over to Macy’s Furniture Gallery at The Woodlands Mall on Thursday, May 1, 2014 to treat yourself to fine wine tastings and samples of signature dishes from local restaurants at the “Wild West WineFest” from 6 - 9:00 p.m.

This popular casual after-hours event lassos in funds to benefit the Montgomery County Women’s Center.

With wine tastings courtesy of GenuWine Tasting Room, the round-up of restaurants includes Black Walnut Café, Crú Food and Wine Bar, Fielding’s Wood Grill, Hubbell & Hudson Catering, Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Red Brick Tavern, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, The Sassy Apple, and Via Emilia Italian Restaurant.

Unique to this event is the chance for guests to see their friends behind bars in “jail,” a fun Wine Pull in which guests blindly pull a bottle of wine, as well as the opportunity to shop at the “MarketPlace of Dreams” for goods and services needed by the Women’s Center’s clients and shelter. WineFest will also include a raffle with fabulous prizes.

“We are so grateful to our title sponsor Ray Hoveida of Macy’s Furniture Gallery, for his hospitality in hosting this important and fun event year after year,” said Ally Seder of Mike Seder, ReMax The Woodlands/Spring, who is the second-year Chair of WineFest. “The Montgomery County Women’s Center offers victims of domestic violence and sexual assault who are in crisis a place for safe shelter, crisis intervention, counseling, legal and support services – all at no cost to the clients and their children. This is such an important and worthwhile non-profit to support. We encourage the community to stop by WineFest and help the Women’s Center continue to make a difference in so many lives, as they aid and encourage them to move forward and build a brighter future.”

Ray Hoveida, Vice President and Store Manager of Macy’s The Woodlands, added, “We are happy to have partnered with the Women’s Center for the last 12 years as a sponsor and host. Our furniture store offers the perfect, inviting setting for WineFest. Our participation is part of the Macy’s Give Back national program, and WineFest is one of our favorites because it benefits a local non-profit that directly impacts our community. It is wonderful to see so many people come by to support the Women’s Center each year.”
