Milstead-a-Go-Go, Lipstick & Dipsticks Car Care Night May 15

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Join Milstead Automotive as it steps back into the 60’s and celebrates the iconic Mustang’s half-century milestone as part of Good Car Keeping Month. Milstead will host a unique, free, car clinic, Milstead-a-Go-Go, as part of its Lipsticks and Dipsticks car care series on Thurs., May 15 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Milstead Automotive, 29707 W. Hawthorne in Spring.

Amy Milstead, president of Milstead Automotive said, “This will be the most fun car clinic to date.” There will be great door prizes, reflective of the times, including CDs from 60’s legends Bob Dylan, The Beatles and more, trivia games and a vintage ’65 Mustang on display for Mustang lovers to swoon over. Milstead will also share how cars and car care has changed over the last 50 years, and she should know. Her family’s automotive repair business has been around since 1970 and Milstead herself is regarded as an expert in the field.

“Fifty years ago, you really could work on your car in your driveway. But today, with all of the technology and computerization, it is much more difficult and you need to partner with a trusted professional for your car care needs,: said Milstead.

Lipsticks and Dipsticks is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will also be served. Reservations are not required, but encouraged. Milstead, who is also The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce this year, created Lipsticks and Dipsticks Car Care Clinic to reach out to women of all ages to get familiar with their cars, whether it be changing a tire, battery or oil filter. Milstead Automotive also offers its Last Call service aimed at preventing drunk driving and has spearheaded Milstead’s Video Ambassador Campaign against texting and driving. “I am very excited to have these opportunities to host clinics where I can impart some automotive knowledge for people in our community, especially women,” Milstead said.
