THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The American Legion Post 305 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 305 The Woodlands are hosting an Open House on Sat. Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South County Community Center at 2235 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands.

“We have come a long way in publishing the Post and the Unit in the last few years,” said Pete Koch, Post 305 Commander. “With this Open House, we hope to show the community exactly what it is we do for them. We invite everyone to come, meet our members, and find out who we are and how we help veterans, active military and their families.”

The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime Veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.

The American Legion Post 305 invites those who are presently serving, have served or care about anyone who serves or has served our country to attend their open house.

Please RSVP to the Post at 281-298-2440 or the Unit at 281-907-3430 or email petekoch76@gmailcom or ala305pres@gmail.com.
