Kim Lejuene for Conroe ISD School Board

When the schools struggled to find resources to create a safer school environment, they knew they could not do it through a traditional strategy of using already over-tasked adults or creating more policies and rules. Kim LeJuene, candidate for Conroe ISD School Board, worked as an advocate and played a critical role in bringing Safe School Ambassadors to the Conroe area schools. She discovered that one of the best strategies for reducing violence, mistreatment and bullying involved engaging and equipping students along with adult support. This strategy has proven to prevent and reduce problems before they happened. She tirelessly brought in community resources to support this incredible and proven effort. She creatively secured the support and financial and human resources needed to implement the program and now it has been preventing problems in area schools for over 6 years while helping students and the adults who support them feel a sense of ownership in creating a positive school environment. Numerous threats and incidents have been prevented because of Kim LeJuene’s intelligent vision and groundwork.

I am clear that Mrs. LeJuene is a much needed breath of fresh air to a school board that needs leaders who are not joining a board as a launching pad to a different political position. She sees schools not as an island but as a critical component woven into a strong community. Kim has a love of schools, a respect for educators, and a heart for what is best for students and all those who support them. I have worked in hundreds of schools around the U.S. and beyond. I am clear that any school board in the United States would be fortunate to benefit from Kim LeJuene’s intelligence, heart, energy and experience and I highly recommend that she be elected to the next Conroe ISD School Board.
