Second Annual Homeschool Family Expo set for April 11

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Homeschool Family Expo presented by Extraordinary Education, Legends Sports Complex, Usborne Books and Classical Conversations opens its second annual conference to community families from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center. Homeschool-related programs from the greater Houston area will highlight services on an interactive floor for students K-12. Programs will feature science shows, Irish dancing, a book fair and other exciting features. WoodlandsMommy.com will organize the event.

“Students get to participate in project-based events through the Homeschool Expo that they may not otherwise get to in traditional school settings,” owner and marketing director of WoodlandsMommy.com Karen Logan said. “My two favorite aspects of the conference are the Student Commerce Fair and the Family Literacy Fair because they are such great opportunities for homeschoolers.”

Each exhibitor will showcase their programs and services in various displays designed to both inform and entertain the public. Concessions are offered, as well as a family reception area, stage performances and door prizes. Admission is free.

“Parents want the most up-to-date information about the top homeschool programs in the area. This event provides one-on-one interaction not only with local educational programs, but with other homeschooled families in the community as well,” Logan said.

The Homeschool Family Expo will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center, located at 7500 FM 2920, Spring.
